NOA Paraoptometric Section (NOA-PS)

Any paraoptometric who is employed by an optometrist who is a member of the NOA or has been approved as an Associate Member shall be considered a member of the para section.

Purpose

To promote a team concept between the optometric professional and the paraoptometric assistant to better serve the eye health needs of the public.

To promote the continuing and training of paraoptometrics in order to enhance their role in the primary eyecare team.

To create an atmosphere of interest and loyalty among paraoptometrics.

What is a paraoptometric?

A person who works under the direct supervision of a licensed doctor of optometry.
